More from MSNBC's Pet Racist
Mon Mar 24, 2008 at 03:14:32 PM PDT
Here is a charming little graf from a person who appears on just about every MSNBC show with the seemingly sole intention of spreading as much racist bile as possible.
What is wrong with Barack’s prognosis and Barack’s cure?
Only this. It is the same old con, the same old shakedown that black hustlers have been running since the Kerner Commission blamed the riots in Harlem, Watts, Newark, Detroit and a hundred other cities on, as Nixon put it, "everybody but the rioters themselves."

Edwards unlikely to endorse - CNN
Sat Feb 02, 2008 at 07:12:55 AM PDT
This diary is based on a CNN report by 3 of my least favorite reporters, Jessica Yellin, Candy Crowley and Suzanne Malveaux, so if you stop reading now I won't be offended
Sources close to John Edwards tell CNN not to expect him to endorse either of his former presidential rivals before Super Tuesday. "That's just not something he's going to do," said one source.

Obama and Hillary - not a hit diary
Mon Jan 14, 2008 at 03:25:28 PM PDT
Matthews just said something that got me thinking as opposed to throwing heavy objects at the TV. He asserted that the only way the Democrats will get past the whole surrogate/racist issue would be for Obama and Hillary to combine on the same ticket.
My initial reaction was negative but the more I think about it the more the idea appeals.
They are both 24 carat gold plated rock stars so the obvious problem would be who would play second fiddle. Possible answer would be that whoever wins the delegate count gets to be boss. Obviously in the case of an Edwards victory the whole thing becomes moot.

If this has already been diaried I apologize. I was just strolling around the internets and came across this. In a nutshell, it looks as if the Wyoming Rethug primary takes place tomorrow 5th January 2008.
My message to x & their campaign F*** YOU
Wed Dec 12, 2007 at 02:38:57 PM PDT
See you all after the primaries. I'm outa here until then.
Once a candidate is chosen the idiocy will prpably stop or at least slow to a crawl. Until then there is absolutely nothing to gain by wading through this dreck.
Apologies to the good writers who have integrity and there are many.
Impeachment- process and symbolism
Sun Jan 14, 2007 at 11:54:11 AM PDT
As the current administration's lack of worth is laid bare calls for impeachment are growing. Prior to the midterms the numbers calling for impeachment were small and generally came from what is unfairly but very deliberately labelled the extreme wing of the Democratic party. In reality, the so called extreme is center to center-left. The election results have triggered renewed interest in the impeachment issue as many closer to the center feel that they now have the cover to come out publicly in favor.
Ford - Best Republican President in my lifetime.
Tue Jan 02, 2007 at 09:15:24 AM PDT
Not the first diary on the subject but a different take I think. I will delete if others disagree
Gerald Ford was a good man. I do not agree with his politics but do believe that he did what he felt was the right thing. He had the ability, very rare in Republican presidents, to take himself out of the equation and consequently dealt in a very objective manner

Where does Reid really stand?
Wed Dec 20, 2006 at 04:58:45 PM PDT
Harry Reid is really beginning to piss me off. The more I hear him the more I am convinced that he says what he thinks the paticular audience at the time wants hear. Has anyone else here noticed how, when confronted for taking a non- progressive stand he tries to imply that he is not showing all of his cards and that he is playing a strategic game that will ultimately result in a win for the Dems in the long term?
If I remember correctly Markos wrote a piece around the time that he closed down the senate for a few hours on a procedural matter. Many of us expected him to take a less bipartisan approach than his predeccessor and that this use of procedure to stop business was the beginning of some much needed serious opposition to the Thugs. On being challenged about why it was nothing more than a token gesture by Kos he did his 'there is more to this than meets the eye nudge nudge wink wink' bit. We never got to find out what the 'more' was.
Enough of the preamble, wander over the jump to find out why I'm really really hacked off
November surprise - it's very simple

Looks like the November surprise is in place, Verdict on Sadam and announcement of probable death sentence in the last full news cycle before the midterms. The following is from an article by Tom Engelhardt, the Nation.
The US-backed special tribunal in Baghdad signalled Monday that it will likely delay a verdict in the first trial of Saddam Hussein to November 5. Why hasn't the mainstream media connected the dots between the Saddam's judgment day and the midterm elections?
